Busy weekend ahead!

We have a busy weekend ahead. Let's just hope that I'm alive by then. I got up with Berkley at 2:45 a.m. yesterday and it was 3:30 this morning. She has been awake 4 times since then so there was no reason for me to even go back to sleep. I am exhausted. Berkley and I did catch an hour and a half nap yesterday when Brock went to my granny's. Speaking of Brock, he got up around 6:00 a.m. yesterday and was asleep by 6:00 p.m. He has been asleep ever since! NUTS! Hopefully he wakes rested and in a good mood. That's a long time to sleep...12 hours so far!

Our weekend consists of:

Friday - Greg and Dad are getting fireworks from Mississippi while they are working and we are going to set them off that evening.

Saturday - mom, granny and me will be traveling (I'm driving) to Owensboro, KY. My 1st cousin is having her baby there and he will be taken via c-section Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. They are an hour ahead of us and it takes an hour and a half to get there at least.

4:00 p.m. - we were invited to a birthday party for a friend but probably won't make it. Another friend of mine, Caseigh, invited us to her parent's house (just down the road) for fireworks, inflatables and food. Her parents go all out for the 4th. BIG fireworks, huge amounts of food and they literally rend inflatables for the kids to play on. Should be lots of fun. I believe they had 150 people there last year.

NO, I'M NOT FINISHED...

Sunday - Travel to Bardstown/New Haven, KY (around 2 hours away and an hour ahead of us too) to see Thomas the Train at the Kentucky Railway Museum. We went last year and he had a BLAST. We ride on Thomas at 1:00 our time so we'll be getting there early to do all the activities! They have shopping of course...overly priced Thomas the Train stuff, the railway museum full of model trains, meet Sir Topham Hat, face painting, free play with train tables and trains (which is usually a disaster because there's always a handful of kids that are hogs, mean and are little brats AND their parents don't watch them and don't care if they are hogging or being rude...I could go on and on forever.) Last year, we basically had to grab trains off the tables because one kid would have every single train. Didn't matter to me, I just took a couple for Brock to play with. They have many more activities other than that. They have the kidprint thing set up to have i.d. cards made for your kids. Brock wouldn't stand still last year so we didn't do it. Hopefully we'll have luck this time. I don't believe we'll be taking Berkley this time. She would get waaaay too hot and not everything is stroller accessible. When we went last year, I was very pregnant and very miserable. We were supposed to ride on an air conditioned coach but the air broke. Let's hope this year the air holds up for us! Even though we bought tickets for an air conditioned ride as opposed to an open window coach, they make sure to tell you that doesn't guarantee you will get an air conditioned car. It is worth every moment of misery because Brock has the best time! Thomas the train or any train, he is in heaven every moment he is there!

BUSY + EXHAUSTED...hope I make it...LOL
