A Whole Lot of Shakin' Goin' On!

At approximately 4:40 a.m., Greg and I awoke to the whole house shaking. Around 300 miles northwest of us, there was an earthquake and we felt it here!!! Greg jumped out of bed and ran to the window and then to the door. He originally thought it was a tornado but looked and there was no wind. Thought it was an airplane but heard no sound. About the time he layed back down, I jumped up and ran into the bedroom. I said, "um, did you feel that?" I felt crazy and I thought I had just dreamed it. Greg was freaking out! So it wasn't a dream. About 3 minutes after that, they came on the news telling of the earthquake and we had felt its effects. I just had someone telling me that Kentucky is 3 years overdue for an earthquake...most of which we can't feel I suppose but there had been training for a bad one. Didn't do any damage, only knocked a few pictures off the walls at some homes in Bowling Green but not here. Anyhow...it was crazy. All Greg said was, I know for sure I don't ever want to live in California!
Both kiddos are snotty and Brock's coughing along with it. Had his pre-school evaluation today...didn't go well at all. Mainly because he wouldn't follow instruction...only wanted to play.
LONG DAY but still thankful at the end of the day!
Love,
C

My mom lives in St. Louis, and felt it too! It's crazy, you would never think that earthquakes happen in the middle of the country.
